Joe Hoesley

Joe recently retired as Vice Chairman of U.S. Bank, the fifth largest bank with assets over $425 billion. At U.S. Bank, Joe was in charge of its commercial and real estate business, a business that he grew to be the nation's fourth largest lender. Under Joe's direction, he developed a national network of twenty-four offices employing over four hundred people that provided financing to both public and private real estate developers, real estate companies and REITs. Joe's book of business approached $40 billion in commitments.

Joe was a member of U.S. Bank's Managing Committee, it's Capital Investment Committee and its Assets/Liabilities Committee.

Joe has a BA from St. John's University and an MBA from DePaul University.


 

  Jim Hoffman

Jim Hoffman is a Managing Director with Stockwell Capital, a private equity co-investment firm, and has 25 years of private equity/investment experience. Jim focuses on all aspects of Stockwell Capital's investment strategy, investment origination, investment underwriting/execution, portfolio management, and investor relations activities. Prior to joining Stockwell Capital, Jim was the Managing Partner/founder of Magna Capital and a Partner at Pritzker Group. At these private equity investment firms, he led all aspects of buyout, recapitalization, and acquisition investment transactions along with all associated investment origination, analysis/evaluation, due diligence, execution, structuring, financing, board oversight, and portfolio management activities. In addition, Jim spent 14 years in investment banking where he was involved in over 75 merger, acquisition, buyout, recapitalization, corporate sale, divestiture, takeover defense, debt financing, and equity/convertible financing transactions. Jim spent six of these years at Robert W. Baird where he was a Managing Director in its M&A Group. He also served as the Associate Director of Baird's U.S. M&A advisory business. Prior to joining Baird, Jim spent eight years at Credit Suisse First Boston as a member of its Investment Banking Department where he provided M&A and financing advisory/execution services to clients across a broad range of industries. Jim earned his BBA (with High Distinction) from the University of Michigan and his MBA (with Distinction) from Harvard Business School.


 

Jerry Johnston

During his 38 years of experience that spans from Madison Avenue to Wall Street to Silicon Valley to Entrepreneur, Jerry has seen all sides of marketing, advertising, strategy and the Internet while working with many of the most admired brands in the world. Currently he is Chairman of PinpointCare, an early stage healthcare software company in the Coordinated Care platform business. Jerry was an early investor, Board member and CEO of PinpointCare.

Prior to PinpointCare, Jerry was the CEO of Critical Mass Inc., an Internet consulting and marketing firm. As CEO, Jerry led Critical Mass from a start up in 1998 to a high growth, industry-leading, global digital agency. The company has 800 employees and serves blue-chip global brands such as Apple, Citibank, AT&T, Nissan, NASA, and HP. Mr. Johnston served as Chairman of the Board of Critical Mass from 2006 to 2014. Omnicom Group Inc., the world's largest corporate marketing and advertising holding company, with $14 billion in revenue, recently completed the purchase of Critical Mass for $140M.

Before Critical Mass, Jerry was SVP, Corporate Marketing for the 3COM Corporation, where he helped guide the successful launch of the Palm PDA--an entirely new technology and device category. He joined 3COM when it acquired US Robotics, where Mr. Johnston served as SVP, Chief Marketing Officer. Prior to high tech marketing management, he spent several years in financial services as SVP of Marketing and Communications at PaineWebber (now UBS) in New York.

Jerry was an Advertising Executive at two major global agencies for 16 years. He was Director of Client Services for the advertising agency giant J. Walter Thompson for 10 years, managing major clients such as Motorola, Nortel, McDonnell Douglas and Kraft. He started his run on Madison Avenue at Young & Rubicam, working with Johnson & Johnson, PepsiCo and General Foods. 

Jerry holds a Masters degree in Advertising from Northwestern University. He serves on the Boards of PinpointCare LLC, Carbon Green LLC, Jump Forward LLC, and the Daniel Murphy Scholarship Fund. 


 


 

Bart VanderBurg 

Mr. VanderBurg has significant principal investing, mergers and acquisitions and operating experience.  During his career, Mr. VanderBurg has completed mergers & acquisitions transactions with an aggregate value in excess of $2.9 billion and has assisted with over $2 billion of debt and equity financings.  Mr. VanderBurg is currently Managing Partner of Touchpoint Capital Partners, LLC and served as a Partner with Longview Merchant Banc, a Principal with Banc of America Capital Investors, and as a consultant to Shamrock Capital Advisors, Inc., Waud Capital Partners, L.L.C. and Gateway City Capital Investors.  During this time, he invested $220 million in fifteen investments in middle market companies. 

Mr. VanderBurg was previously Chief Financial Officer of Intelligent Reasoning Systems, Inc. and Director of Manufacturing Business Development of Tycom Corporation. Mr. VanderBurg began his career as a Financial Analyst with First Boston Corporation advising companies on mergers & acquisitions and corporate finance transactions.

Mr. VanderBurg received a BBA summa cum laude in Finance and Accounting from The University of Notre Dame and an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.  Mr. VanderBurg is a certified public accountant.

He is currently a director of Global Precision Products, LLC, Six15 Technologies, a member of the IMS Companies, LLC advisory board, a former director of Hi-Tech Manufacturing LLC, and Four Leaf Textiles, LLC, and instructor of Entrepreneurial Finance at the Keller Graduate School of Management.
